There was an article recently on Dr Frank Lipman’s website about harmful ingredients lurking in what may seem like healthy kids snacks. 

 

I thought I’d give some recommendations on what products I’ve found to be healthier versions of these particular snacks:

 

 

Crackers:  Replace the terrible processed Goldfish snack with Mary’s Gone Crackers

 

Yogurt:  We don’t eat yogurt regularly, but when we do, I like...

 

Thrive Market  is an online retailer that has quite a selection of organic and healthier foods...at wholesale prices. I’ve bought from Thrive Market a few times now and have been really impressed. You can try it out without committing to a membership.

  • Pros:  

    • Value system allows you to easily sort by Organic, Nut Free, Paleo, Raw, Gluten Free, Vegan, Kosher … even things like ‘Dye Free’,...

As my daughter gets older, I realize that naturally I let her explore some unhealthy foods...to a point.  She's still TWO.  And, quite frankly, two year olds don't need to be having refined sugar and processed foods.  It doesn't help their bodies and it doesn't help their moods.  

 

By not giving her M&Ms or Snickers bars, I'm really not depriving her, I promise you.  I just have research...
